Landing fees for drop-off zones

A growing number of airports are charging for access to drop-off and pick-up zones

The forecourts at airport terminals are busy places, with cars and taxis perpetually competing for kerbspace at which to drop-off or pick-up passengers. Historically these forecourts have been free, but some airports are investigating ways of controlling demand via using charges.
