Motorway services operator Moto is employing Verrus PayByPhone to verify if heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) are paying the correct charge while parked at motorway services.

Operator CP Plus, which manages the Moto network, can access the DVLA database through the PayByPhone service to check vehicle information.

Operations director at CP Plus, Grahame Rose, said: “All vehicles that stay in excess of two hours are required to pay for parking, and HGV parking tariffs are higher than for cars....
