The fate of the country’s first workplace parking levy (WPL) will rest with the Conservatives – if they win the next General Election.

Nottingham City Council’s plan to introduce the levy to part-fund extensions to the city’s light rail system have moved a step closer with transport secretary Sadiq Khan confirming the WPL Order and granting conditional approval to the light rail extensions to Chilwell and Clifton.

But Khan has delayed the introduction of the parking levy...
