Trader plates did not give Aston Martin immunity

NCP Services defended its decision to tow away an untaxed luxury car, which the owner had picked up from the dealership earlier that day. The car was taken to a car pound for not displaying a road tax licence.

Simon Hamill, the owner of the £100,000 Aston Martin, said he had a valid pay & display ticket and that the vehicle was road legal. He argued the car was being driven under trade plates because it was straight out of the showroom.
