Thatcham Research to update security standards for car manufacturers

Securing cars against the growing threat presented by digital compromise is central to forthcoming updates to the New Vehicle Security Assessment (NVSA) programme.

Keyless models provide criminals with a new way of stealing cars by copying the electronic information and tricking the car into thinking the key is present, allowing a thief to drive off.
