EasyPark to buy PARK NOW and RingGo

Daimler and BMW shift business focus on automotive business

German carmakers BMW and Daimler want to sell their jointly owned parking app business PARK NOW Group to rival EasyPark. The sell-off comes just less than three years after PARK NOW was set up as a core business activity in NOW, a mobility joint venture that was unveiled in early 2019.

NOW’s five strands also include a smartphone-based route management and booking service and an electric car charging service, among others. Buyers are also being sought for other elements of NOW.
