Oxfordshire County Council is asking the local community to pay for an experimental lorry ban in the town of Burford, 18 miles west of Oxford.
The county council last week approved in principle an 18-month experimental 7.5 tonne environmental weight limit covering the town’s High Street between the A40 roundabout to the south and the A361/A424 roundabout to the north.
