Workplace parking levy could fund Hounslow’s rail connection

The London Borough of Hounslow is preparing to consult on introducing a workplace parking levy (WPL), which could help pay for a new passenger rail service to connect the borough with Crossrail.  

The west London borough envisages implementing a levy in a major employment area in the vicinity of the A4 Great Western Road in Brentford, broadly between Gillette Corner and Boston Manor Road.
