Irish speed limit prompts safety fears

SDLP environment spokesman Tommy Gallagher has warned of potential road safety problems in Northern Ireland arising from the change to metric speed limits and distances in the Republic of Ireland this week. In conjunction with the change to metric signage, the Irish Government carried out a review of speed limits and set new default speed limits.
