Oxfordshire districts to consult on reform

The district councils in Oxfordshire are to consult this summer on their proposals for a unitary structure of governance in the area (LTT 07 Mar). The councils envisage redrawing the local government map by abolishing Oxfordshire County Council and creating four new unitaries, which would form a combined authority or joint committee to oversee strategic work on transport and other matters.
