Derbyshire plans withdrawal of all subsidised bus services

Derbyshire County Council is to consult on withdrawing almost all funding for subsidised bus services, as part of a programme of cuts.  

The Labour-controlled council says the cuts are necessary because of the Government’s continuing reduction to council funding. Derbyshire received £98m of revenue support grant from Government in 2015/16 but says this will fall to around £13m in 2019/20 and end totally the following year.
