Relax policy on 20mph limits, say councillors

Councillors on Derbyshire County Council want the council to adopt a more permissive approach to 20mph limits but have advised against a county-wide 20mph limit in residential areas. 

A councillor working group has reviewed the council’s current policy, which is to use 20mph zones and limits “sparingly”, with decisions based on road casualty data alone.
