Oxfordshire County Council has approved plans for a 20mph signed-only village speed limit despite objections from residents and police concerns.
Proposals for 20mph limits in the villages of Shiplake and Lower Shiplake near Henley-on-Thames have divided opinion. The parish council, which initiated the proposal, supported the lower limits on the casting vote of its chairman.
