Chinese win city’s electric bus contract

Nottingham City Council has placed an order with Chinese firm BYD for 13 fully electric buses to operate the city’s park-and-ride services. Andy Gibbons, Nottingham City Council’s head of public transport, told LTT the order was for single deck vehicles that would be capable of operating all day without further charging, providing they receive a five-hour plug-in charge overnight.
