Air quality in Oxford city centre has improved since the bus-based low emission zone in the city centre was introduced last January, according to Oxford City Council. Preliminary results suggest nitrogen dioxide concentrations did not exceed the short-term hourly target threshold of 200µg/m3 in St Aldate’s at any point in 2014.
