Floating car club launched in capital

A new point-to-point – or ‘floating’ – car club has been launched in North East London by 

DriveNow, a joint venture of BMW and car rental firm Sixt.

The scheme covers three boroughs – Hackney, Islington and Haringey – an area of 60 square kilometres, and features 210 cars from BMW and Mini. 

Unlike traditional car clubs in which the car has to be returned to a designated bay, DriveNow members can leave their car in most, but not all, public parking...
