Richmond rejects borough-wide and area-wide 20mph limits

The London Borough of Richmond has ruled out a borough-wide 20mph speed limit as well as two area-wide  20mph limits. 

The Conservative-controlled council consulted residents in Kew and Whitton earlier this year about introducing a 20mph  limit across their areas, and also gauged their opinion about a borough-wide 20mph limit. 

The majority of respondents rejected the borough-wide idea and a slight majority of Whitton respondents (53%) rejected an area-wide 20mph limit. In...
