Hart braced for M4 relief road legal battle

Welsh transport minister Edwina Hart has given the green light for an M4 relief road round the south of Newport, which is expected to cost more than £1bn to build. 

Hart told the Assembly that, having considered responses to last autumn’s consultation (LTT 4 Oct 13) and an environmental assessment, she was pressing ahead with the plan for a new six-lane motorway between junctions 23 and 29 south of Newport.
