Cumbria County Council is consulting on raising speed limits on more than 15 miles of road.
The proposals cover roads in the Allerdale area on the Cumbrian Coast, which includes towns such as Workington, Maryport, Flimby, and Cockermouth.
Following a review of speed limits using DfT guidance, 15 increases and decreases are proposed.
