The Welsh Government has bowed to pressure from bus operators and announced a more generous reimbursement scheme for the carriage of concessionary passengers.
Stagecoach, FirstGroup and Cardiff Bus threatened judicial review of the Government’s decision to cut the reimbursement budget from £73.2m in 2013/14 to £65m in 2014/15. Operators said the cut broke the principle that the scheme should leave them no better and no worse off.
