Committee reveals transport inquiries

The House of Commons transport committee has announced its programme of inquiries for 2014. There will be three new inquiries:

• motoring of the future – technological developments to improve road safety, alternative fuels and information provision for motorists. This is likely to start in the autumn

• investment in the classic rail network. This is likely to start after Easter.

• strategic river crossings – priorities for additional crossings, how they are funded,...
