Transport Scotland and the City of Edinburgh and West Lothian councils are teaming up to commission a £100,000 study into public transport improvements on the A89/Newbridge interchange/A8 corridor between Broxburn and the Edinburgh city bypass. The installation of bus lanes will be one of the items examined; West Lothian also has ambitions for a bus-based park-and-ride facility at Kilpunt beside the A89/A899 junction.
