The cost of East Sussex County Council’s Bexhill to Hastings link road has risen by £13m to £113.4m. The council blames construction cost increases for £4.5m, additional security and disruption caused by anti-road protestors for a further £2.7m, and says the rest is to cover risks. The road is due to be completed by May 2015.
