Plans for a new cross-London rail line – Crossrail 2 – will be redrawn if the Government goes ahead with plans for a high-speed rail terminal at Euston.
The Secretary of State safeguarded an alignment for the line – also known as the Chelsea-Hackney line – in June 2008 (LTT 25 Jul 08). Stations in central London are identified at Victoria, Piccadilly Circus, Tottenham Court Road and Kings Cross.
