Edinburgh admits diplomatic bay PCN errors

Edinburgh council has admitted to wrongfully issuing parking fines to drivers who had parked in a diplomatic space after its traffic order had expired. The space outside the Consulate General of Ukraine had been covered by a temporary traffic order.

The two-year order was obtained on 19 August 2004 but attendants continued to issue fines after it had expired. This went on until 23 February this year when the error was discovered by the council.
