Well, not everyone started singing. I’ll tell you about it. The 149 bus route in London is served by the notorious multi-entry bendy buses and was, I think, the route that earned them the demotic title ‘freebuses’ on its journey through Hackney from London Bridge to Edmonton in North London. Fare evasion has been commonplace and, since the bus is often very crowded indeed, quite difficult to control: on one occasion I saw no less than 20 – I counted – revenue...
