Two bidders contest Nexus Metro contract

Tyne and Wear passenger transport executive, Nexus, has cut its shortlist for the contract to operate trains and stations on its Metro network to two bidders. They are German state owned operator DB Regio and Nexus’s in house bid team. NedRailways has been eliminated. The preferred bidder is expected to be named in January and a contract of seven to nine years will begin in April....
