London mayor Boris Johnson has today published a comprehensive set of measures to clean up the capital's air. He also called on government to fully back the plan with adequate policy and financial support.

As part of the strategy Johnson has announced that he has scrapped plans to suspend expansion of the capital's Low Emission Zone. The mayor had announced in February that the third phase of the LEZ would be suspended, however it will now be implemented in 2012, instead of October 2010 as...
