DfT reveals wide-ranging sign reforms

25 September 2009

The DfT is to approve a new road sign intended to stop lorries getting stuck down narrow lanes after their drivers have follow instructions on their satellite navigation devices.

The sign is one of a number of amendments to traffic sign regulations in Great Britain announced by the Department last week as part of the ongoing signing review (LTT 3 Jul).

The sign indicating roads that are unsuitable for heavy goods vehicles will feature a lorry symbol with a red bar through it.
