The East of England Development Agency this week set out the evidence base to justify a programme of road and rail improvements in the region that it says are needed to relieve congestion and boost the economy.
The transport economic evidence study conducted by consultant Steer Davies Gleave has attempted to put a figure on the cost of congestion in the region and identify those transport corridors that should be a priority for investment.
