City of London wins the plaudits but overlooks some of the basics

Congratulations to the City of London for spending a million pounds on the Queen Street junction scheme ('A redesigned junction that's fit for the Queen' Transport in Urban Design LTT?13 Sep).

It is a shame the City ignores low-cost effective measures to make the lives of pedestrians easier. Kerb drops or level junctions at all junctions would be a start, or is this too small a scheme to allow them to win plaudits?

I have twice requested for kerb drops to be installed where I live but on both...
