Waving and paying by the sea in Blackpool

Blackpool Council is replacing its stock of off-street pay & display machines with solar-powered terminals that accept Chip & PIN credit/debit cards as well as coin payments.

The new Parkeon Strada machines are also equipped with contactless card readers, anticipating the introduction of contactless payment-enabled mobile phones and the continuing roll-out of ‘wave & pay’ bank cards.
