Paris powers up with the all-electric AutoLib service

A pilot electric car hire scheme has launched in Paris. The Autolib scheme initially sees 66 of the four seat electric hatchbacks for hire on a pick up and drop off at 33 charging stations in central Paris. The two-month pilot will operates like the self-service Velib scheme, and becomes fully operational in December.
