Airport charges waived for delayed passengers

Returning air passengers delayed by the volcanic eruption in Iceland will not incur any extra parking charges. Britain’s main airports will only charge passengers up until the date they were originally expected to land.

BAA — which owns Heathrow, Stansted, Southampton, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Glasgow airports — waived all additional charges. Gatwick and Luton airports did not charge customers any extra for the days they overstayed.
