Eco-homes will have electric charging points

One hundred ‘eco-show homes’ will be built in towns near to four sites earmarked for Britain’s first zero-carbon developments, housing minister John Healey announced last month.

The show-homes will be built at?‘eco towns’ in Bicester in Oxfordshire, Rackheath in?Norfolk, St Austell in Cornwall, and Whitehill Bordon in Hampshire. They will feature systems such as smart meters, electric car charging points and solar-heated water tanks, water saving technology.
