Guitar attack on Edinburgh attendant

A parking attendant was assaulted with a guitar while issuing a penalty charge notice (PCN) in Edinburgh. The incident was revealed by the city council, which said that attacks on attendants had risen by more than a quarter in 2009. The attendant was treated for facial injuries after the attack in the Tollcross district of the city.

This was one of more than 100 physical and verbal attacks logged by the NSL Group - who provide the parking attendants for the council - in the year to November...
