More than a million drivers give up on car use

Up to 1.3m people have stopped driving because of fuel costs over the last 12 months, according to research by Sainsbury’s Insurance.

The average car owner is now spending up to £1,720 per year extra to fill their vehicle’s tank this is almost a third more on the year before.
