Stagecoach founders see fortune increase

Annual Rich List reveals Souter and Gloag are worth £610m

It has been a good year for the fortunes of transport’s millionaires according to the annual Sunday Times Rich List, with Stagecoach founders Brian Souter and Ann Gloag increasing their total wealth by an impressive £137m.

The fortune of the siblings has improved immensely over the last year thanks in part to the resurgence of the London Stock Exchange which has seen the value of their combined shareholding in Perth-based Stagecoach increase significantly.
