Labour promises better bus services for England

Increased registration requirements and maximum fares are promised by consultation

The Department for Transport has announced plans for further changes to the regulatory framework for local bus services in England. The move could lead to a raft of legislation that could see local authorities in England and Wales gaining powers to set maximum bus fares as well as making changes to way bus services are registered.
