Metro is right to look at Quality Contracts

It’s not surprising that Metro, the West Yorkshire PTE, is planning to implement bus Quality Contracts in its area. People want a bus network that is stable, simple to understand and use, with affordable fares and network-wide travelcards. This is the situation in continental Europe (and indeed in London), and is long overdue in our provincial towns and cities.

 Bus companies such as First West Yorkshire should not complain. They have had years in which to implement improvements...
