Go Ahead forms yellow school bus joint venture

Go Ahead Group has signed a joint venture agreement with large US school bus operator Cook-Illinois to pursue new contracts.

The 50/50 joint venture will bid for business outside of Cook's home state, where Cook-Illinois runs 2,500 vehicles. It is Go Ahead's first move outside of the UK for a decade, following an unsuccessful foray into the Scandinavian rail market in the late 1990s. It opens the prospect of competing with Go Ahead and National Express - the two largest US school bus operators...
