Alstom awarded five-year extension for Dublin's Luas

Ireland's Railway Procurement Agency has awarded the infrastructure maintenance contract for Dublin's light rail system, Luas, to Alstom following competitive tender.

The five-year contract will commence on October 1 when the current contract with Alstom expires, with an option to further extend the contract by another five years.

The contract is worth over €30m for Alstom and its partner Dalkia, with Alstom's share being €24m.
