DfT serious about travel changing behaviour

Transport minister Sadiq Khan has played down suggestions contained within a Department for Transport impact assessment that suggested that researchers and the government’s own committee on climate change had overestimated the ability of ‘smarter choice’ measures, such as travel plans, car clubs and car sharing, to cut car use and CO2 emissions.
