DfT gives councils more time for accessibility strategies

The DfT has responded to local authority pressure and agreed to give councils an extra eight months to complete their accessibility planning strategies.

The DfT has written to all authorities notifying them that, instead of having to complete their strategies by the end of November 2005, they now must be completed by the end of July 2006.
