Glasgow to be base for new Scottish transport agency

Scotland's new transport agency is to be based in Glasgow, transport minister Nicol Stephen has announced.

The agency will have around 200 staff and is expected to be up and running by the end of this year. It will be led by a chief executive, a post that has yet to be advertised.

Stephen said he hoped the agency would attract staff from "across the UK". However, many staff are likely to transfer from the Scottish Executive's headquarters in Victoria Quay, Edinburgh. Full relocation...
