Start to £3bn A9 dualling brought forward

The Scottish Government is accelerating the start of a £3bn plan to dual the A9 between Perth and Inverness, with the first section beginning in the current Parliament.

The project will see seven sections – 80 miles – of the road  dualled, with a target date for completion of 2025.

The Scottish Government says the project will improve road safety, encourage the growth of both Perth and Inverness, and boost tourism.
