Lib Dems pledge to expand Edinburgh tram

The Liberal Democrats in Edinburgh are alone amongst the parties aiming to take control of the council in the elections next week in pledging to expand the city’s troubled tram project.

Currently the largest party leading the council in a coalition with the SNP, the Lib Dems would “present a revised business case for the extension of the tram line down Leith Walk and consider the best way to get trams to Little France”.
