Scots councils seek reassurance about future maintenance models

Local Road authorities in Scotland have expressed concern that the Scottish Government’s National Road Maintenance Review will interfere with councils’ decisions on which services they choose to outsource.

Scottish ministers ordered the review into how the road network is maintained to identify more efficient ways of working so greater headway in tackling a £1.5bn backlog of repairs on local roads can be made.
