Cambs sets out bus subsidy axe plan

Councillors in Cambridgeshire will consider a programme next week to withdraw subsidised bus services in the county in tranches over the next three years. Following the decision to phase out funding for most tendered services (LTT 02 Feb), the council has divided the county into 13 areas. Services will be withdrawn from selected areas in September and March each year, beginning this September. Cambridgeshire plans to engage with communities generally nine months before subsidies are withdrawn...
