Transport takes big bite of incomes

Eighty percent of UK households spend more than 10% of their disposable income on transport, according to the RAC Foundation. Households that spend 10% or more of their income on fuel for their homes are deemed to be living in fuel poverty and the Foundation says its analysis shows the majority of households are “in transport poverty”.
